New Benefits Package For Frazee Employees
Frazee Recruiting Consultants recognizes the requirement to assist our employees with insurance coverage. We will soon be offering all of our employees a Voluntary Benefits Program coupled with a Cafeteria Plan for tax savings! Our employees will be eligible for these benefits on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment with Frazee. If you are currently an employee and eligible, the effective date of the new benefits will be July 1, 2006. Frazee will also pay all application fees and administrative costs involved for all eligible employees!
SUMMARY OF VOLUNTARY BENEFITS PACKAGE
The following benefits will be available effective July 1, 2006:
Cafeteria Plan: A cafeteria plan allows you to purchase benefits for you and your family with “pre-tax” dollars. A cafeteria plan will not only help you afford medical coverage, but it will also allow you to purchase additional benefits for you and your family on a “pre-tax” basis. For every dollar you spend through a cafeteria plan on benefits for you and your family, you will save approximately 25-30% due to the tax savings. (If you participate in a cafeteria plan, you do not pay federal, state or fica taxes on any of the money used to purchase benefits!)
Short Term Health Insurance: This plan has two deductible levels at $500 or $1,000. After the deductible, eligible expenses are paid at 80% up to $5,000, and then paid at 100% up to a maximum benefit of $2 million. Included in this coverage are discount plans for vitamins and nutritional supplements, Chiropractic services, prescription drugs and eyewear. This policy is portable and the initial coverage period is up to six months, however you can reapply at the end of each six-month period. The portability of the policy will allow our employees to take their medical and prescription benefits with them while pursuing a new opportunity or waiting to become qualified on one of our client’s plans. This bridge will ensure that covered employees will not experience a lapse in their coverage.
Prescription Card: This card is designed to save you money on prescription drugs. It is accepted at over 42,000 pharmacy chains, including Rite Aid, Walgreens and Walmart. The benefits are based upon an established drug formulary. For example, there are four different benefit levels which vary in cost based upon the type of drug and whether it is a generic or brand name drug.
Dental Insurance: This plan covers 100% of preventative procedures such as X-Rays, Cleanings, and Exams with a zero deductible. After a $50 deductible, it pays 80% of Restorative Procedures such as filings, oral surgery, & root canals. After you have been on the plan for one year, and after a $50 deductible, it will cover 50% of Major Restorative Procedures such as bridges, crowns & partials.
Supplemental Products
In addition to the traditional health and dental coverage, a comprehensive group of supplemental coverages will also be offered to our employees. These supplemental policies focus on products providing protection in the areas of disability, life and supplemental health insurance coverage.
Implementation Schedule
Insurance Open Enrollment – May 1, 2006 until close of business May 24, 2006
Payroll deductions (weekly) begin June 7, 2006.
Insurance effective date July 1, 2006.

Clean Up Your Space In Cyberspace
Competition is stiff in today’s job market. New stars emerge daily, dressed in business suits with polished resumes and portfolios. Whether you feel like the brightest star in the sky or merely a tiny flickering speck, you effectively join the battle as soon as you proofread your resume and hit “send.” Maybe you just applied for your dream position at a fabulous company. Maybe you are submitting your resume to every e-mail address and fax number you can find. You have the experience, the education, the enthusiasm and the motivation – you’re on a roll…who can stop you now?
Your resume has been spotted by an influential member of a respected corporation. Bachelor’s Degree? Check. Solid work history? Check. Experience in the field? Check. Then an internet search is conducted on “Jane Doe, Expert Extraordinaire.” The results are surprising: angry blogs, unprofessional personal websites and deceitful photos. You may have eliminated what otherwise could have been a definite interview request. Your resume travels either to the shred box or gets shuffled to the bottom of a very thick stack of potential candidates.
The internet has become a very important and effective tool in our everyday lives, however, some may consider it a little too convenient. The once tedious and technical process of creating web pages, searching for profile information, or even uploading photos has become so user-friendly that even children are performing these tasks with ease. While it may be fun to create your own unique space on the web, we quickly forget that this information is generally available to the public. This includes not only your family and friends but also your coworkers and employers. It is ok to be creative and publicly display your thoughts and experiences, however, hiring professionals suggest that a job seeker should focus on more positive and responsible aspects of their life. Bragging about excessive drinking or skipping class, promoting illegal activities, and demeaning other individuals in a public manner are common examples of how you can quickly turn a shining opportunity into a black hole.

Computer Skills Required
Job requirements have changed tremendously over the past decade. With most businesses relying on computers and new technology, employees need to take extra steps to maintain their skills to keep up in the digital age. Programs that were introduced as recently as last year have already become outdated. Advanced positions have always required the specialist to train in new applications and software. However, today’s competitive corporate world is seeing an increase in the demand for highly skilled clerical assistants and customer service associates. Businesses are now expecting stronger office skills from all employees, encouraging individuals to frequently update their technical knowledge in order to secure a future with the company.
Word processing, spreadsheet, database and e-mail programs are utilized by many businesses. Some job advertisements even go as far as to specify that these skills are a “bare minimum requirement” for any position available. Accounting skills are also a hot commodity. Accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll are quickly becoming the basic responsibilities of a typical office assistant. Some employers may seek individuals that are capable of maintaining databases in addition to creating detailed graphic presentations.
There are many educational resources for individuals needing to learn various computer programs, from basic to advanced. If you have acquired some computer knowledge it is highly recommended that you keep up with the skills by practicing at home and learning additional features each time a new version is released. Community and private colleges generally offer on-campus classes varying from basic Word and Excel to advanced PowerPoint and Photoshop. Schedules can often be very accommodating to those who are currently working full time. Most software companies manufacture tutorials that can be purchased at your local computer store, and some can even be completed online.
