The Home Depot Call Center in Baton Rouge is experiencing explosive growth! Increased traffic on the homedepot.com website has forced the call center to begin specialty customer service departments which will cater to each customer’s specific needs. In addition to their call center, Your Other Warehouse now has many specialty departments including an appliance team, a dot-com team and a door hardware team. YOW would like to thank the Frazee Recruiting team for helping with the staffing needs during our period of recent expansion.

The renovation of the Old State Capitol is merely one of many projects currently in the process of revitalizing and growing downtown Baton Rouge. Downtown is expanding as a center for industry with the explosion of new office space. It is also growing with the expansion of tourist attractions and living facilities. Hotels and specialty attractions, such as the Shaw Center for the Arts and the State Museum, will give downtown the push it needs to bring the Capitol City into the new century!

Baton Rouge is now preparing for a rapid influx of both workers and an onslaught of people into the downtown area. Recently, a major attraction came to Baton Rouge and incoming visitors discovered that parking was not as horrendous as most people would have thought. Traffic and the maneuvering of the traffic, on the other hand, is a serious issue that needs to be addressed (and soon). Downtown is not going to be a place for visitors only, though. It is definitely appealing to the current Baton Rougian. Events like 'Live at Five' and other weekend happenings will begin to draw a crowd to this area. New condo and apartment complexes will begin to bring people into downtown! There is also a new River levee bike path with a 15-feet wide trail with plenty of water fountains, sitting areas and bike racks. Baton Rouge is growing and this growth currently is centered in a real downtown, something that Baton Rouge has been missing for quite a while.

The arrival of Spring, and Summer on the way, makes it easy to return to our most comfortable t-shirts and sandals. But it's important not to forget what's "acceptable" dress in the office. Since it's often easy to blur the line between office and casual wear, we've surveyed our clients and offer the following spring and summer wearables appropriate in most businesses:

Safe bets include khaki and linen slacks, pencil skirts, polo shirts and relaxed button down shirts. Be careful, though, not every company has the same dress code. The Target Corporation has instituted a 20-page dress code for its corporate employees. It is important for HR Managers to specifically express to employees what is considered appropriate and what is unacceptable. If an employee is dressed inappropriately, the issue must be addressed immediately. Letting one employee slip will only encourage others to do the same.
