Pennington Management of Clinical Trials began in 2002 as a joint venture between a Sweden-based Clinical Trial Management company and Pennington Biomedical Research Center, and has been growing steadily over the past three years. PMCT's goal is to reduce the time from drug development to the time to market clinical trials.

PMCT developed the software that makes this rapid clinical trials process possible. Frazee Recruiting is excited to be assisting PMCT with their recruiting needs during this time of expanded growth.

Randi Broussard, an LSU graduate, worked as an intern for Frazee during the summer and fall of 2004. Shortly after her December graduation, she accepted a HR Generalist position with The Compass Group, which manages food services in hospitals and college campuses.

Dr. Courtland Chaney, LSU faculty member in the Management department, stated that Randi's internship with Frazee was “very focused work experience”. Dr. Chaney said that the practical experience Randi gained from Frazee Recruiting allowed her to be successful in getting her current job over her peers.

It is with great pride, that we congratulate Randi in her current and future successes in the HR field.

In the executive search field, there are terms thrown around that may need to be defined. Below are some services offered by Frazee and their common definitions.

Contingent--A contingent basis means that our firm will only earn a fee if the candidate that we have identified and presented is hired by your company.

Retained--A retained search includes a contract defining the responsibilities and outcomes expected by the client and the firm, which allows the firm to give top priority to that search. A retained search also requires an up-front fee similar to a retainer paid to an attorney or CPA.

Frazee Recruiting Consultants, Inc. has experience with and conducts both retained and contingent searches. We would be happy to discuss our services with you at any time.

There is a a long-standing belief around Louisiana that the cost-of-living here is less than in other states. Actually, research shows there is only about a 5% differential in cost-of-living between Baton Rouge and Houston. For example, if an employee is living on a $60,000 salary in Houston, she would need to earn $57,367 to live a comparable lifestyle in Baton Rouge. Furthermore, to match a $60,000 salary in Memphis, an individual would have to earn $63,661 in Baton Rouge. This takes into consideration taxes, living arrangements, etc, but does not include the popular East Baton Rouge practice of private education for children. Private and Parochial schools in EBR account for 25% of all students.

The addition of private school tuition, approximately $4,000-6,000 per child, to the living budget significantly increases the cost-of-living in Baton Rouge. In order to attract professional employees from other areas of the nation, Baton Rouge companies must be competitive in salary.
