Senior Civil Engineer Needed for Engineering Firm! - Baton Rouge, LA
Senior level Civil Engineer needed for an Engineering firm in Baton Rouge, LA! The Civil Engineer will be the supervising engineer with the primary responsibility for complete engineering, project management and delivery of professional services to public and private sector clients in residential and commercial subdivision and land development, site design, highway, streets and small bridges, storm water collection and management, and sanitary sewerage and water systems. Daily responsibilities will include:
• Financial performance of the Business Unit;
• Scheduling and Cost Control;
• Coordination with COO and Principals for new business development;
• Direct Client Relations, Sales, Proposals and Contracts;
• Provide leadership and oversight of the Business Unit;
• Provide design leadership, including cost and schedule control, and value engineering;
• Supervision and control of technical specifications and construction procurement documents.

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering required. Professional license in Engineering in Louisiana, or the ability to obtain license within 5 months required. Certifications: PMP or other formal project management training or certification required. Experience: Minimum of 15 years of Engineering design and program/ project management experience required. 5 or more years experience in marketing and client development. Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience. Additional Requirements: Must have experience in the preparation and recordation of subdivision plans. Experience with large scale infrastructure projects, including roadway, parking and utility design a must. Candidate must also possess a proven track record of success in working with clients that lead to new and continuing business as well as the ability to develop internal and external collaborative relationships.
